Safety Tips
Simple steps to buy and sell safely on Find Anything.
Find Anything connects buyers and sellers directly — we don't handle payments or deliveries between you. That means the same common sense you'd use with any in-person deal applies here too. A few simple habits go a long way.
For Buyers
placeMeet in a public, well-lit place — a bank, mall or police station area works well for high-value items
searchInspect the item, vehicle or property in person before paying anything
paymentsNever transfer money in advance to "reserve" an item you haven't seen
descriptionFor vehicles and property, ask to see ownership documents before committing
For Sellers
groupsBring a friend or family member along when meeting a buyer for the first time
lockNever share OTPs, bank PINs, or online banking passwords with a buyer — no legitimate payment needs them
receipt_longConfirm payment has actually cleared in your account before handing over the item or keys
local_shippingBe cautious of buyers who want to pay a courier or "arrange shipping" themselves — verify who you're dealing with first
Common Scams to Watch For
- Overpayment scams — a "buyer" sends a fake payment for more than the asking price and asks you to refund the difference
- Advance-fee requests — being asked to pay a deposit, delivery fee, or "processing fee" before you've even met
- Too-good-to-be-true pricing — an unusually low price on a high-value item is a common lure
- Pressure to move off-platform immediately — rushing you to WhatsApp or another app before you've seen any details
- Fake payment screenshots — always check your own bank app or account, not a screenshot someone sends you
